OPERATION: MILITARY KIDS
Operation: Military Kids (OMK) is the U.S. Army's collaborative effort with America's communities to support the children and youth of Active Duty, National Guard and Army Reserve Soldiers impacted by
the Global War on Terrorism. 42 states have received grants to build community based support for mil itary children whose parents are deployed. The programs are directed by the 4-H Military Liaison in each state. The Liaison is responsible for building state teams consisting of representatives from 4-H Extension, National Guard, Army Reserve, Boys & Girls Clubs, The American Legion, State Education Offices, Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies and various other community and state organizations.
